Women’s Wednesday Wisdom - “What Do You Mean - Virtual?”
There’s that word again. Virtual! Back in the milennium from which I came, the word meant “real” or “actual” as in something is ‘virtually’ true.
Now it means sitting in front of something the size of a business planner writing to another (or others) who I can’t see, touch, taste, sense, smell or feel - somewhere “out there”. And marvel of marvels - the other receives from me and responds! Perhaps from half-way around the world. That my dear friends, is the new understanding of “virtual”.
If you’re not planning your business in order to have at least some aspect of it ‘virtual’, you may be missing out on great opportunities. Yes, you have to learn such things as SEO; Google Ad Sense; traffic as in driving it to. . .but it’s worth it.
I really don’t think we (myself included) realize the AWESOME opportunities we have when we connect with other women via AWP and/or AWI “virtually”. I know we haven’t all captured the power of having such tools as YUGMA at our disposal - just by being part of a growing community of ‘chronologically maturing women’ traveling through the 2nd half of the journey.
We may get frequent emails marketing this or that ‘webinar’ and we may even have attended a few of them. I have! And I marveled at how someone sitting in front of a computer with headset & microphone - in Pennsylvania - could educate and inform over 200 folks from around the world!
I kid you not!!! One event I attended had folks from Australia and New Zealand - chatting back and forth on the text portion of the site as if they were right next door to all of us.
It was AWESOME - to say the least.
APRIL 30, Connie Gelhaus of YUGMA will give her time to teach us this simple WEBINAR platform and give us some ideas of how valuable its use is for us. Whether we own a business; are advancing in our career 0r working from a cubby hole off an upstairs bedroom (that’s me, of course).
I really encourage everyone of you to REGISTER for the YUGMA event on April 30. It’s at 7:30 p.m. EDT.
Oh, and what confusion we get with the time. Connie is in MN and I think they must be on regular time. So here’s what I know: 7:30 p.m. EDT is 6:30 CDT; 5:30 p.m. MDT and 4:30 PDT. If you’re not on daylight savings time, I’ll leave it to you to figure out what time 7:30 EDT is in your area. Too much for this silver-haired maven to figure out.
I venture to say that once you’ve taken the YUGMA dashboard and been in charge of your own WEBINAR - you’ll be hooked!
So my piece of wisdom today is to get acquainted with one of the most powerful tools we have in our Essential Business Tool Bag(tm) - the Webinar. Then register for the April 30 event. Take a ride around the dashboard and see how simple this tool is.
Trust me, you’ll be hooked as well.
And my desire for you today is that great opportunities join you on the road and that you’re more than prepared to take advantage of them!
Much love,
Linda
